Special fx Makeup

Necessity is a mother..........of invention.

A natural evolution in doing interactive characters is learning how to do makeup. One client will ask you to be older and another will need someone with very special features, a look-a-like. The problem with being an actor that doesn't look like anyone is clear..........you can't be a look-a-like. Trust me........we've tried......and it's painful. Enter, Special FX Makeup.........Taaaa Daaaaa. To be specific, Foam Latex Appliances made specially for an actor and glued onto their face. Voila........instant look-a-like without the actor having to "look-a-like". These appliances or masks become so lifelike that even up close someone can't tell it's not the actors real face.

The Wise Guys used to buy these appliances from a company in sunny California, but the company has had a few set backs in producing the appliances and they were made for one size fits all. Not bad if you just want to go out on Halloween and impress your friends. But it became clear that the Wise Guys needed the appliances to be more specialized and be able to get our hands on them quicker. "Invention Time"!!!! Why not just do it ourselves? Most of the Wise Guys have more than just one talent, why not tap into that and get something great for our interactive characters.

So with research and an investment of time and greenbacks  the Wise Guys now have the ability to make any type of Foam Latex Appliance for Special FX Makeup. It might be a nose, higher cheekbones, pointed ears, a crepe hair beard, or even a full face appliance. We can mold, sculpt and cast these right in our own workshop, and the more we do the more we have on hand at a moments notice. So keep an eye on this page for more characters coming soon.
